p( x) = x^6 -3x^4+2x-100

by remainder theorem, the remainder is p(-8)

p(-8)= (-8)^6 - 3(-8)^4 +2(-8)-100

= 262144 - 3(4096) -16-100

=262144 - 12288 - 16 -100

=259740

Hope it will help you......
