Given :  x³ + 3x² -mx +4 is divided by x-2 the remainder is m+3

To Find : value of m

Solution :

x³ + 3x² -mx +4    divided by x-2 and remainder = m + 3

substitute x = 2

and equate with remainder

=> 2³ + 3*2² -m*2 +4    = m + 3

=>  8 + 12 - 2m + 4 = m + 3

=> 24 - 2m = m +3

=> 21 = 3m

=> 7 = m

Value of m = 7
