1) Sodium carbonate and acetic acid react to form aqueous sodium acetate, carbon dioxide and water.

2)

Na2CO3 + 2CH3COOH = 2CH3COONa + CO2 + H2O

3)it is used in fire extinguisher.

When we add few drop of acetic acid to a test tube containing sodium bicarbonate powder. We will observation as :

( i ) There will be formation of bubbles of a colorless and odorless gas.

( ii ) Carbon dioxide escapes from the solution as bubbles.
