Question:

When you are crossing the road, a speeding truck is coming towards you. If the occipital lobe is damaged, what can happen?

Answer:

There are four lobes of the brain that are Frontal, Parietal, Occipital and Temporal. Occipital lobe is located at the bottom, back part of the cerebral cortex and is responsible for processing visual information from the eyes. Occipital lobe is very important as it helps us to understand what our eyes are seeing.

If our occipital lobe get's damaged, injured or impaired in an accident then we would not be able to correctly process the visual signals coming from the eye which would eventually lead to visual confusion.

The occipital lobe is the center of brain or the main system of the brain. It will not effect directly by accident because it's location is in the back of brain. It is our visual - perceptual system of our brainin any accident if the Occipital lobe is damaged,  a person can suffer from visual hallucinations. For the Occipital lobe damaged many objects of brain can be bigger or smaller.
