Occipital lobe is responsible for visual sense i.e. it processes only the visual informations.
It is one of the main 4 lobes of the brain.
The occipital lobe is the visual processing center of the mammalian brain containing most of the anatomical region of the visual cortex.
If the person's occipital lobe is damaged then he would not be able to see and then he would not be able to save himself till the time someone else help him.
