plastics are also non-reactive and bad conductor of heat and electricity.

many shop keepers use them because they are light weight, durable and cheap.

but nowadays many shop keepers are banning plastic because of its harmful effects.

and we must minimize the use of plastic.

because of these features most of the shopkeepers pack items in plastic.

but plastics are not good for the environment. it has many side effects. like burning of plastic can release many harmful gases. since it's non-biodegrable and if animals swallow these plastic, then it can damage their reproductive and digestive system. there are much more..

what we can do is, we can use just or paper bags instead of polythene and plastic bags. for wrapping, we can use paper wrappers. we can use glass containers or metal ones instead of plastic. we can replace plastic pouches by cloth and paper ones.
