 \huge\mathcal{ANSWER}

⚫ACETIC ACID

Its a carboxylic acid which contains of two carbon atom and shows all properties of acid, but is weak in nature.

⚫SODIUM BICARBONATE

Its a compound formed when sodium loses its one electron to bicarbonate radical.

 {Na}^{+1}\longrightarrow {HCO_3}^{-1}

 [{Na}^{+1}][{HCO_3}^{-1}]

 \bold{EXPERIMENT}

▶Take a test tube with a few drops of acetic acid and add sodium bicarbonate powder ti it.

 \bold{OBSERVATION}

▶A colourless odourless gas evolves with water.

▶Formation of sodium acetate takes place

 \bold{TEST \: FOR \: CO_2}

▶When burning extinguisher is brought near to test tube it extinguishes.

▶It turns blue litmus faint red.

▶When carbon dioxide is passed over lime water, lime water turns milky and on excess passage the milkiness disappears.

▶It has no effect on  KMnO_4 \: or \: K_2Cr_2O_7 \: solution

 \bold{EQUATIONS}

For experiment :--

 2CH_3COOH + Na_2CO_3 \longrightarrow 2CH_3COONa + H_2O \uparrow

For test of carbon dioxide :--

 Ca(OH)_2 + CO_2 \longrightarrow CaCO_3(white ppt)

 CaCO_3+ CO_2 + H_2O\longrightarrow Ca(HCO_3)_2(white ppt)
