when you listen to the sound produced by A tuning fork and the sound of the same frequency produced by a Sitar you find that tuning fork sounds flat where as the Sitar sounds shrill why

It is due to the reason of their difference in pitch. A tuning fork produces flat sound as it has low pitch sound while the sitar produces a medium pitch sound.
