when you put sugar in a glass of of water it dissolve whereas sand doesn't why?

Sugar has a weak forces of attraction between their particles and their bonds easily break and dissolve in the water, whereas sand gas a strong force of attaction between its particles and is stable.
Hence when you put sugar in glass of water it dissolvez and sand does not dissolve.
