It was on that day I had become the individual champion in the school district level cultural competition. I got four first prizes for individual events and two first prizes for group events. It made me happier than, through my victory my school’s name was announced there. It made me proud at that moment, when many people congratulated me and wished me to perform well in the state-level completion too. That was really an inspiration for me. I realized that it was my parents who had struggled a lot with me.
It was they who forced me to learn and practice classical dance, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, and Bharatha Natyam. It was actually learning these kinds of dances that made me win these prizes. My friends also congratulated me. When I reach school, my principal made a speech about my achievements in the assembly and told everyone to make me their role model. The applause my fellow beings were for a long time. From school, I got a big trophy. The principal announced that my name would be written on the board in the office which marked the special achievements. That was the luckiest day for me.
