when you run your breathing becomes faster as you need more oxygen but why does your rate of Heartbeat also increase

This is because the oxygen that is present in lungs is quickly transfer to tissue by Heart to get more energy

The heart pumps oxygenated blood to all parts of body so when there is a need of oxygen in body the heart beats and pumps faster to fulfill the requirement of oxygenated blood in body
