Question

When you split masoor you will get masoor dal. But you can't sprout it . Why ?

we can sprout masoor

eg/- like masoor rice

as you might have observed *dicots only sprouts....well when the masoor isnt split it has the capabilities to produce sprout in wet condition ....while when it is split it turns into a *monocot and thus losses it capability to sprout..
*monocots-single cotyledons
*dicots-2 cotyledons
