When you spread iron fillings near a bar magnet, they do not get attracted equally towards different parts of the magnet. Can you explain this unequal distribution of iron fillings around the magnet?

Answer: this is because the magnet field of magnets are strongest at the poles. That is why most of the iron fillings will get attracted to the ends of the magnets and only a little will get attracted to the center of the magnet.
