Well definitely it's a completely new environment for him. He was safe and sound in his mother's womb and is suddenly exposed to the bright lights and sounds of the outside world. His lungs are filled with amniotic fluid and he cries to open his passway and let in air. It's truly beautiful the miracle of birth, but it is equally tiring for the little baby and his mother..
