When zinc is added to copper sulphate (CUSO4) solution due to more reactivity of zinc, cooper is replaced by the zinc and forms zinc sulphate. During the process, the colour of the solution changes from blue to colourless.

b. When zinc metal is added to copper sulphate solution, the colour of CuSO4 solution disappears and colourless zinc sulphate solution is formed. Solid brown copper is deposited as it displaces by Zn.

c. When an iron nail is dipped in copper sulphate solution, a brown coating of copper is formed on the surface of iron and the colour of copper sulphate solution changes from blue to light green.

d. Chemical reaction of iron nail with copper sulphate solution in water. Iron displaces copper ions from an aqueous solution of copper sulphate. In this reaction, metallic iron is converted into ferrous ion (Fe2+) and cupric ion (Cu2 +) is converted into metallic copper. Fe (s) + Cu2 + (aq) —→ Fe2+ (aq) + Cu (s).

e. Zinc is more reactive than Cu and Fe metal. Iron displaces copper from its solution. Therefore, copper is less reactive than iron. Copper does not displace any metal therefore it is the least reactive.

Answer: When zinc is added to copper sulphate (CUSO4) solution due to more reactivity of zinc, cooper is replaced by the zinc and forms zinc sulphate. During the process, the colour of the solution changes from blue to colourless

when a piece of cu metal is added to a solution of zinc sulphate ,no change takes place ,but the blue colour of copper sulphate fades away when a piece of zinc is placed in its solution. As a result of the above reaction, the blue colour of copper sulphate solution will fade away

Answer. when a rod of zinc metal is dipped into a solution of copper sulphate then the zinc reacts with it and displaces the copper. its colour will change from Blue to colourless in the meanwhile copper sulphate is blue and Zinc is colourlessZinc is more reactive than copper. Hence it easily displaces copper from it's sulphate solution. So the blue color starts fading and copper gets deposited on the rod.

Explanation:

When zinc metal is added to copper sulphate solution, the colour of CuSO4 solution disappears and colourless zinc sulphate solution is formed. Solid brown copper is deposited as it displaces by Zn. ... (c) Silver is a Nobel metal and does not exhibit any reaction with copper sulphate.
