When zinc rod is dipped in cuso4 solution its blue colour starts fading. however when copper rod is dipped in znso4 solution no change is observed why ?

As zinc is more reactive than copper.
So zinc can displace copper.
But copper cannot displace zinc.
Also the zinc rod reacts with the Copper sulphate solution.
It forms zinc sulphate and the copper metal is deposited.
The zinc sulphate solution is colourless and hence due to formation of this solution the blue starts fading.
