Explanation:

Explain for direct democracy : people of India ruled by law of the Government (Indian Constitution). But the law is making by MP s and MLA/MLC (or Ministers) of Parliament & state legislature . These MPs & MLA are directly elected by people of India .

For Indirect democracy :

1. All the bills and laws which maked by Parliament and State legislatures finally approved by President of India/Governor of states .President indirectly elected by MP s & MLA s. Governor appointed by President.

2. Supreme Court & Other courts are protecting the Constitution and laws. They are guardian of Indian Constitution . The chief judges are selected by collegium system or group of senior /chief judges, not by people . So it's proofing indirect democracy.

Prime Minister, President & Chief judge of India are more or less equal power distribution & group of higher authorities . They were selected(CJI) or elected (PM & President) by direct or indirect way of democracy.

India not only mixed democracy but also mixed in ethnicity, race, culture, language, religion, community, food, dressing code, festivals etc.
