Where and when do we need to use Sin Cos or Tan?

We need them to do Trignometric functions which involve very complex methods. We use them to simplify our results

sine is used when perpendicular and hypotenuse is given
cos is used when base and perpendicular are given
tan is used when hypotenuse and base are given
