Elephants are mainly found in the southern states of Kamataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Assam. The hot and moist tropical forests provide ideal habitat for elephants.
They prefer forested hilly areas, providing plenty of food (bamboo. plantain, tall grass, leaves, twigs and water for them throughout the year. One-homed rhinoceros are found in the swampy grasslands
of Assam (Kaziranga, Manas) and northern parts of West Bengal. Marshy and swampy areas are ideal habitat for

Elephants and one-horned Rhinoceros are mainly found in Tropical Evergreen Forests because they require a climate suitable for them and an average rainfall of 100-200 cm and the ecosystem required for them can also be found at Tropical Evergreen Forests!
