1. Tropical evergreen forests are restricted to heavy rainfall and they are best in areas having more than 200cm of rainfall with short dry seasons .
2. Since the region is warm and wet throughout the year, it has a wide range of vegetation of all kinds like trees, shrubs, creepers, and also has rich fauna content like elephants, monkeys, lemur, deer etc.
3. One horned rhinoceros are found in jungles of Assam and West Bengal as these forests suit the habitats of the animals living here.

Answer:

The elephants are the most majestic animals among the mammals. They are found in the hot wet forests of Assam, Karnataka and Kerala. They prefer forested hilly areas, providing plenty of food and water for them throughout the year. One-horned rhinoceroses live in swampy and marshy lands of Assam and West Bengal.
