Placenta is a structure produced by fusion of uterine endometrium (inner part of uterus) with extra embryonic foetal membranes like chorion, for physiological exchange between foetus and blood (transfer of nutrients through simple passage of bloood vessels). Usually having two parts maternal and foetal (fetus or pre-mature baby). Also having nature of it, should help, ask me for more detail into it.
