Where blood forms in foetus?

Blood cells are formed as a result of the process haemopoiesis and in the initial embryonic stage, it takes place in the yolk sac. In the late embryonic stage, it takes place in the liver and then in spleen and after birth, blood formation occurs in bone marrow.
