- At Srinagar, Guru Nanak Dev met a Hindu pundit called Braham Das.
- Braham Das was a rude and arrogant man. He was always followed by three camels carrying the ancient works he had studied. He was fond of entering into lengthy arguments with the holy men he encountered.
- When he met Guru Nanak Ji, in the first instance, he objected his attire, but Guru Ji neglected.
- Braham Das started exhibiting his learning and asked Guru Nanak Ji about creating the universe.
- After hearing Guru Nanak's reply he got stunned at his vision and became his disciple.
