It it was the end of white Supremacy and Apartheid in South Africa. The oath ceremony took place in the lovely sandstone amphitheater formed by the union building in Pretoria. Some buildings in India which are made of sandstone are Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Secretariat Building, etc.
