Where did the greatrevolt of 1857 mainly started and why............

it was first started in Meerut. it has many reasons to start revolt of 1857 but the main reason was that the farmers at that time were forced by the Britishers to sell their land and were driven to be landless and bonded labour but they didn't want to do that and they started revolt of 1857 against the Britishers.
