Raw materials are products which  are found naturally or developed by farmers or farmers. Then the final product is extracted. Cotton produced by farmers, for instance, is a raw material to be processed for clothing processing. Though some of the raw materials used during Harappan were local in use, other items had to be obtained from distant areas, (present-day Rajasthan, and Oman in West Asia) including tin, copper,  silver, gold,  & precious stones

Explanation:

  • The Harappans had obtained raw materials for their "craft production" in different ways. For example, they had established "settlements" like Balakot & Nageshwar in areas where "shell" was available.
  • Other sites like Shortughai (far-off Afghanistan) was the near best source of "lapis lazuli", a "blue stone" which was highly valued, & Lothal ( (Bharuch in Gujarat) which was near best sources of "carnelian", "steatite" (north Gujarat & south Rajasthan) & metal (Rajasthan)
  • Another method for procurement of raw materials may be to expedite areas such as the Rajasthan zone of Khetri (for copper) and southern India (for gold). Those expeditions had established communication with "local groups" into contact.
