✔️✔️ the greatest speed in a sound wave
Air molecules move as they transmit sound. They oscillate from the starting point to any intermediate points and then back to somewhere near the starting point again, ideally of course.
If they didn't move, we wouldn't be able to hear. I'm pretty amazed that sentence is written in your book, unless it's for very young readers.
Come to think of it, is there anything in the universe that doesn't move?

The speed of sound is the distance travelled per unit time by a sound wave as it propagates through an elastic medium. At 20 °C (68 °F).
