Plants get each and every raw material by nature.

Nutrients- from soil

Energy-from sun

Water- from soil

N03- from soil

Plants get their required raw material for photosynthesis like water and Sunlight from Soil and sunlight respectively.
Rest of the minerals like Sulphur,magnesium are taken from soil.
