The auto trophic organisms the green plants, carry out the process of photosynthesis at the daytime. So they need various raw materials to perform the photosynthesis. And the raw materials that they need to perform the photosynthesis comes from the environment. The raw material that are needed by the plant comes from the following places;

i) Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by the help of the stomata present in the leaves.

ii) sunlight from the Sun by the help of the stomata present in the leaves.

iii) water from the soil by the help of the roots.
