government's ambitious plans to provide water daily to the city and on alternate days in the Greater Hyderabad 

Municipal Corporation

peripheral circles from December this year may not materialise.


Reason: Except for one drinking water source -the Godavari, the remaining such as Krishna river, Osmansagar and Himayatsagar have not received enough fresh inflows three months after the onset of monsoon due to which water levels have plunged to abysmal lows.
