Nirvana is where you go back to being part of the energy of the universe.

Supposedly, there is an energy that flows through all living things (star wars force is based on this) and every person is part of this energy. Once you achieve Nirvana, you go back to that energy. It doesn’t mean you cease to exist, it means quite the opposite in fact, you would be part of a greater energy, and I believe that your part of nirvana sometimes drifts towards places that were significant to you in life.

Hey mate!

Buddhists believe death is a natural part of the life cycle. They believe that death simply leads to rebirth. This belief in reincarnation – that a person's spirit remains close by and seeks out a new body and new life – is a comforting and important principle.
