a) Production of the eggs occurs in ovaries

b) Fertilization happens in the fallopian tube

c) Implantation of zygote

a)Production of eggs

In humans, the eggs or ova are produced within the ovaries of the female reproductive system. The ovaries are paired oval-shaped structures that remain fixed to the peritoneum. Each woman has a fixed number of ova in the ovaries which are decided before birth.

b)Fertilisation

Gamete fusion or fertilisation is a crucial process in the formation and development of an offspring. The male germ cell( sperm) fuses with the female germ cell( ova) and forms a diploid embryo.

c) Implantation of zygote

The zygote formed by continuous cellular division( mitosis) of the embryo leads to the formation of the zygote. This zygote formed thus gets embedded in the uterine wall of the uterus which has dense capillaries for blood supply to the zygote.
