where do the germinating seeds get their nourishment from

the seeds have their own energy source. It's a plant in embryo form.

It uses this energy when the water, oxygen, temperature is optimum for its growth.

Until then it remains in dormant stage. Germination inhibitors playing an important role, they prevent a seed for germinating until it's chances of survival are good.
