Answer:After entering the lungs , oxygen gets diffused into blood (in haemoglobin) and gets transported where it is required . We as human and all other animals require this essential gas in order to catabolize the food we eat and get energy. This energy released is used for each and every single process and activities whether you are doing some work or remain at rest( as internally your body is working which needs energy)

There is no part in our body where oxygen is no required even if you are at rest or sleeping .

If oxygen is consumed to burn(oxidized) food then carbon dioxide will always be released ( with no exception ) which is of no use in our body and we exhale it.

To get deeper insight and more knowledge about this concept you have to go through digestion and blood circulation.
