The water from the waterbodies evaporates in the atmosphere as water vapour. They get collected in form of cloulds and on condensation, they fall on the earth's surface as precipitate.

Answer:

Rains are resultant of water cycle that occurs on the surface of the earth.

Water from the water bodies get evaporated to the sun heat and reaches Sky as water vapour.

Is water vapour gets accumulated to form clouds and on compression the water in the form of clouds is condensed and reaches earth surface as rain.
