Answer:

Computers have transformed the making, promotion and reading of books and magazines. Publishers use computers to design and produce hard-copy books and e-books, market books to readers and track sales. Readers download books and magazines to their phones, laptops and tablets to read wherever they go.

Answer:

Step 1

Find out any specifications or requirements from your intended publisher. Call or visit their website to see if any requirements in place. Some may require double spacing or a certain type font or size.

Step 2

Open your word processing application. Set up the document by choosing your font and text color from the menus or toolbars. In the options menu, turn on tools such as automatic spellcheck to help you.

Write your book a little at a time. Make sure you click the "Save" button often. Make extra copies of the document by saving it to flash drives or optical discs.

How to Print Flyers

By Candace Benson

Flyers can help you broadcast a message to a wide audience. Printing your own flyers can save you time and money, especially if you have access to a color copier or have designed a simple flyer. When preparing your flyer design, keep in mind the hardware you have available, who your audience is, what paper you'll be using, and design accordingly. Before you print flyers, you may need to acquire specific flyer paper. Also, check your ink levels to prevent running out of ink or toner at an inconvenient time.

Printing on a Non-Networked Copier

Step 1

Open the flyer document or image file.

Step 2

Click on "File," then "Print."

Step 3

Click on "Options" or "Preferences." Choose to print in "Color" or "Black and White," and use the "Best" or "Normal" quality. Choose the specific type of "Paper." Click "OK."

Step 4

Click on "OK" or "Print." Check the flyer test copy, and ensure that it has printed properly.

Step 5

Select the type of paper (color, thickness, size) according to your design and audience needs. Insert the paper in the copier's side paper feed tray, if available. Otherwise, open a paper tray, remove the default paper, and insert the flyer paper.

Step 6

Set up your copier to print via the side paper feed tray. Place the flyer copy you printed earlier on the copier glass.

Enter the number of copies you wish to print. Click on "OK" or "Copy."
