a body weigh more at the equator since earth is not completely round it is an oblate spheroid – a sphere with a bulge around the equator. that is why the places at the equator are more in contact with the core rather than the places at the poles.Since the equator in more closer to the core of the earth it experiences more gravitational force. Hence,a body will weigh more at the equator rather than at the poles due to the gravitational pull towards the core of the earth.

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER
-----------------------------------
In combination, the equatorial bulge and the effects of the surface centrifugal force due to rotation mean that sea-level effective gravity increases from about 9.780 m/s2 at the Equatorto about 9.832 m/s2 at the poles, so an object will weigh about 0.5% more at the poles than at the Equator.
