It exists in the less reactive metals
NCERT textbook states that Cu exists in the Middle of Activity series, but has also mentioned it in the 'Exctraction of low reactive metals'
because copper is found in both free state and combined state

but when cu is in combined form then by extraction of moderate reactive metals.
