where does destructive root system start in plant kingdom
Answers
Some of the actions of animals are innate responses, unlearned behaviors usually related to survival or reproduction.
A plant will react to stimuli in its environment as well, for instance, some light loving plants will bend unnaturally, grow along the ground if this results in it getting more light if it happens to be rooted in a shady area. One could also think of a tree’s response to seasonal changes ( actually length of day, temperature and magnetic field changes) that trigger biochemical internal changes that affect sap composition and flow as instinctual as preparation for winter or blooming in the correct season.
Maybe the most dramatic example of this could be observed in some species that are transferred from southern hemisphere to the northern or the reverse. For some, the signals are all too confusing for the plant to grow even if the climate is similar but opposite
