Solid carbon dioxide is stored under high pressure and there it converts into carbon dioxide gas.

Solid carbon dioxide is known as dry ice. At room temperature it is a gas therefore to convert gaseous carbon dioxide to solid carbon dioxide very low temperature and very high pressure is required. If we decrease the pressure then dry ice will sublime and convert back to gaseous carbon dioxide. Hence to prevent the sublimation of dry ice, it is stored under high pressure and low temperature.
