★The original copies are kept safely inside helium-filled cases in the library of the Parliament of India.

Prem Behari Narain Raizada (Saxena) of Delhi wrote the entire constitution in a flowing italic style in the best calligraphic tradition of our country and each page beautified and decorated by artists from Shantiniketan including Beohar Rammanohar Sinha and Nandalal Bose.

Prem Behari Narain Raizada did not charge a single penny for this job. However, he wished to write his name on every page of constitution and his grandfather’s name along with his name on the last page which was granted.

The task was completed in 6 months. 254 pen-holder nibs were used and No. 303 Nib was used for this calligraphy.★
