the Pyruvate oxidation starts at the end of glycolysis.it helps in the indirect production of ATP. It takes place in the mitochondrial matrix (in eukaryotes).


Here it is modified and two molecules are converted to acetyl CoA and two carbon released as carbon dioxide along with generation of 2 NADH.
