    The poet floats his paper boat down the running stream. Rabindranath Tagore, the poet narrates the poem imagining as a child. Being a great humanitarian, the poet expresses the innocent and pure love that children have in them.  

    The child fills the boat with flowers to send for unknown people at unknown land. This shows that he wants to greet people with a warm heart.  

    The child wants to know how the boat would sail at night, how it would cut the angles while sailing, and how it can escape any hindrance from the sky above.
