On December 7 , 1941 , Japan attacked Pearl Harbour .
Japan airships formed suicide corps called kamikaze.
They drew explosive planes and crashed on the decks of the American ships.
Under General Tojo , Japan almost completely destroyed Pearl Harbour.
Important battle ships were destroyed.
3700 people were killed.
However Japan forgot to destroy the repair base .
This was the immediate cause of America to enter the 2 nd World War.
