The strategy for Swadeshi movement and Boycott movements were completed in five distinct stages or phases.
• From the period of 1850 to 1904 first swadeshi movement was launched by remarkable leaders like Dadabhai Naoroji, Bhaswat Nigoni, G.V.Joshi, Tilak, Ranade and Gokhale.
• Later on it extended till the partition of Bengal from 1905 to 1917.
• From 1918 onwards till 1947 the movement was reshaped by Mahatma Gandhi and accompanied by Indian Industrialists.
• The period between 1948 to 1991 forced inter state and international trade wise spread. This was also the time that was known as License permit raj.
• Later on in 1991 liberalization and globalization were attained.
During partition of Bengal in July, 1905, Indian National Congress announced the Swadeshi Movement in Bengal.
This movement was launched as boycott movement in the country.
The Swadeshi movement started during the period of Lord Curzon’s (1905) and this is the first successful pre-Gandhian movement in India.
The golden league was formed in Bengal and Bombay.
