Ice is converted into water: constant temperature : : water evaporates: changes in the temperature.

  • The temperature changes because the water turns into vapour. When the phase changes then the heat and energy increases to break the intermolecular forces in the water. The temperature changes only after the entire water turns into vapor causing a heat system.
  • This form of change is also called heat of vaporization. During the process of vaporization the intermolecular forces break that will let the molecules to release into the open.
  • When ice is converted into water than the temperature remains constant since there is no energy been released to break any bonds. Only the Hydrogen bonds are broken so that the water loses its rigidity and attains liquid form.
