Where ribosomes are present ??

➡These are present in the free cytoplasm.

➡These are also present bound to the membrane of endoplasmic reticulum.

➡These are non membrane bound structures.

➡The ribosomes which are attached to the mRNA. is called polysome.

BIOLOGICAL FUNCTIONS OF RIBOSOMES ::

➡ It main function is protein synthesis.

➡And also the ribosomes which are attached to the SER helps in steroid synthesis.

➡And also lipid synthesis.

➡In prokaryotes 70 S ribosomes are seen.

➡In eukaryotes both 70.and 80 S ribosomes are seen.
