Answer:

apical meristematic tissue is located in the apical part i.e roots and shoot tips

Explanation:

meristematic tissue is classified based on two types

  1. on the basis of origin in life of a plant
  • primary meristem: these appear early in life and they always be in the active state of division. they form primary permanent tissues.
  • secondary meristem: they appear later in life and responsible for producing secondary tissues, particularly the woody areas.

2.on the basis of position in plant body

  • apical meristem: these are found in root and shoot tips and functions in primary growth. the growth of roots and shoots in length is with the help of apical meristem. they are primary meristem.
  • intercalary meristem: these are intercalated in between the mature tissue i.e the permanent tissue. it also adds length to the plant. they are also primary meristem.
  • lateral meristem: present along the lateral sides of roots and shoots . they do not occur in all plants. they are secondary meristem. they increase the girth of the stems and roots.

I HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL

THANKS
