➨➨The Charminar is situated on the
east bank of Mussi river. To the west lies
the Laad Bazaar,and to the southwest
lies the richly ornamented granite.
Makkah Masjid. It is listed as an
archaeological and architectural treasure
on the official " List of Monuments"
prepared by the "Archaeological Survey
Of India....
The Charminar masjid is square
structure with each side being 20 metres
long. Each of the four sides has one of
four grand arches, each facing
fundamental point that opens directly
onto the street in front of it..
At each corner stands on exisquitely
shaped, 56 meter High minaret, with a
double balcony.
Charminar was built by Muhammad Quli
Qutub Shah ,the fifth ruler of Qutub Shahi
Dynasty, After shifting his capital from
Golconda to Hyderabad in 1591, He
constructed this is monument.....
Charminar is located at the center of the
Old city, It is 426 years old....
Charminar is the pride of Hyderabad.
The Charminar lies at the center of the
city for a good reason. The city was later
planned on a grid pattern, around the
charminar, with two main roads,
connecting to the markets of Golconda
with the port city of Machilipatnam
intersecting and running North-south and
east-west . It's the first multi stories
building in Hyderabad....
