Prokaryotes have no cell nucleus and no membrane enclosed organelles.Prokaryotic DNA can be found in a coiled loop floating in the cyctoplasm in a region called the nucleoid (meaning-nucleus like). In other words, the nucleoid is the area in a prokaryotic cell where DNA is located

<>In Prokaryotic cell nucleus is absent and DNA is circular and lies free in the cytoplasm but it is not true nucleus . DNA is naked but not associated with proteins or RNA to form Chromosomes. DNA is found in PPLO bacteria and blue algae. Lastly the Nucleoid is the area where prokaryotic cell DNA is located.
